Tangmo in thai means watermelon 🍉
📍BORN: 1950, in Chiang Mai.
🧳 BACKGROUND : she started her life in the logging industry and then worked in trekking camps in Chiang Mai.
🧘🏻♀️RETIREMENT: Tangmo came to us from her trekking camp in April 2014. When she arrived, she was very weak and skinny. She took time to recover from malnourishment, but she gained a lot of weight and is now a strong granny.
ℹ️ Facts about her: 💦 At first, she was terrified of water, we aren’t sure why. She eventually grew to be more comfortable and enjoys an occasional bath. 🗣️ She only speaks Thai, unlike most of our elephants which understand Karen commands. 🍽️ She’s very picky with food.
ℹ️ How to recognise her: ☝🏻 She has a very bony back; ✌🏻 Her head seems like it is caving in; 🤟🏻The sides of her head are very digged in; 🦷 she has no teeth left
