Anything works but we recommend you to wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Long pants (as you’re going to go grass cutting) and closed shoes or sandals is ideal. The essentials you will need to bring with you are sunscreen, mosquito repellent if you feel you need it, a hat and of course your phone/camera! We will provide you with water.

We are open every day from 9:30 AM to 3PM and our activities start at 10 AM !

You can use your own transportation, but we offer complementary pick up and drop off in Kanchanaburi city, either from your hotel, the bus or the train station. The drive will take about 35 min.

Depending on the distance of your hotel, if it is out of the city, we might not be able to pick you up. Please let us know your hotel when you book so we can arrange accordingly.

Please note that if you use Grab services to come from Kanchanaburi to ElephantsWorld, please arrange for the driver to wait for you or let us know so we can drop you off on the way back. You will not be able to book a Grab from ElephantsWorld.

Option 1: Grab or Private taxi

You can book your own private taxi or Grab. The cost is usually around 2,500 TBH for one way trip, 3,500 TBH for 2 ways and 4,000 for 2 ways over night. We can also arrange the taxi for you ! Details here.Β It takes 2,5 to 3 hours depending on the traffic. We recommend to leave 3 hours in advance.

Option 2: Bus and minivans

You can take a bus or minivan from Bangkok at Mo Chit or Southern bus station to Kanchanaburi. Minivans leave from various locations in Bangkok, including the Mo Chit bus station and they are a bit faster than buses, taking around 2.5 to 3 hours. The cost is between 120 to 160 THB. We can pick you up from the train station or from your hotel. Just let us know.Β

Option 3: Train

You can take a train from Bangkok’s Thonburi Station to Kanchanaburi. The train ride takes about 2-3 hours and costs 100 THB per person. It for sure offers scenic views along the way but it goes less frequently than the minivans! Then we’d either pick you up from the train station or from your hotel. Just let us know.Β

The price is the same. Our transportation from Kanchanaburi is complementary.

Unfortunately, we do not offer discounts. The money goes to supporting and providing a good place to our elephants, so we hope you are happy to contribute !

Visiting ElephantsWorld is only possible as part of the organized program. Self-guided tours are not permitted for safety reasons.

Unfortunately, we no longer offer a Volunteering program. We instead decided to offer more working opportunities to our local communities. However, we do offer a Mahout Program, were you will learn how to assist a mahout in taking care of an elephant, including feeding, bathing, observing behavior and maintaining a safe and clean environment for the elephant.
