Do you love elephants and dream of caring for one? Learn how to become a mahout—a 1on1 caretaker for an elephant!

As a mahout trainee, you’ll stay with your elephant and you will learn how to assist a mahout in taking care of an elephant, including feeding, bathing, observing behavior and maintaining a safe and clean environment for the elephant. Being a mahout is hard work, but it’s incredibly rewarding! You’ll leave with unforgettable memories and a deep appreciation for the dedication required to care for elephants. A life changing experience!

Build a Connection with an Elephant

Gather & Feed Your Elephant
Help prepare food by cutting banana trees or grass, making sticky rice, and unloading trucks filled with elephant food.
