Chompoo is the name of a fruit, translated into Rose Apple.

📍BORN: 2014, in the Chiang Mai Province.

🧳 BACKGROUND: she came to us from the North, where she was working in rice fields, alone with her owners. Because she was underfed and has a weak leg, they decided she’d be better here.

🧘🏻‍♀️RETIREMENT: Chompoo arrived here in April 2024. She has been socialising so well since she arrived. SaiYok now has a friend his age, but most importantly the 2 friends Nor Kotow and Nam Wan are taking great care of her and have created a close nit around Chompoo.

ℹ️ Facts about her: she came all the way from Chang Mai. Such a long trip is very stressful for an elephant, yet moments after arriving you could see her bonding with the other elephants.

ℹ️ How to recognize her: She has perfectly shaped ears; an orange mark on her forehead that looks like a batman sign; her tail is curly, a bit like a big.
