📍BORN: 1973, in the Chiang Mai Province.

🧳 BACKGROUND: Boon Mee spent most of her life in the logging industry and we are not sure if, when we got her, she was still logging or working in rice fields.

🧘🏻‍♀️RETIREMENT: She arrived here in Oct 2024 and she was looking very sad and very poorly, with many wounds. She was working in the same area as Bwa Tong, who she same to EW with.

ℹ️ Facts about her: She quite protective about her food, especially with the other elephants and she gets hangry (angry/hungry) quite easily (probably because she was not fed enough before). She loves to put dust herself and she’s very close to Bwa Tong.

ℹ️ How to recognize her: Her back is very flat, broken down by carrying heavy weight, her skin is very rinckled and she has 2 orange marks on her back hips (all 3 suggesting hard and long working hours); she’s also quite small for her age.
